UK reggae band Rebel Control release the fourth single from their forthcoming album Love People Power.
Over one of the bands trademark live reggae riddims, the lyrics ask the listener “Are we going to take it, Are we going to keep on taking it, Or are we gonna fight back? ” urging them to “Wise up and rise up “ and “Unfuck the system”
Augmented by evocative guitars and punctuated by dynamic horns, this militant song also has a touch of dub poetry about it, a natural vibe for Rebel Control as their drummer and percussionist spent years on the road with legendary poet Linton Kwesi Johnson and the band have previously collaborated with punk/dub poet Attila The Stockbroker.
