This third single from the forthcoming album Love People Power sees Rebel Control in a chilled mood layering up lush vocals, a touch of wah-wah guitar and a sprinkling of hippy vibes on top of one of the bands trademark live band reggae jams.
The songs lyrics are a gentle reminder to try to live in the moment and concentrate on the spiritual rather than the material things in life.
Rebel Control evolved from the reggae jams hosted by vocalist Andy Baron and musician/ producer Richie Concrete in a disused shop in West London in 2008 which attracted a stellar crew of UK based reggae musicians.
They also went out live playing the biggest and best UK festivals from Boomtown to Bestival, performing in Italy, Poland and Montenegro, and supporting a myriad of acts including reggae heavyweights Luciano, Mad Professor, Easy All Stars etc and regularly performing for causes such as Love Music Hate Racism.
The bands recent releases received solid support from the likes of David Rodigan. Don Letts and Tom Robinson on BBC Radio1, 1xtra and BBC Radio6 as well as international radio, blogs and websites, video premieres on Reggaeville (Germany, featuring on the cover mount cd of French magazine Reggae Vibes. The bands music has been used in tv shows including River Cottage Cafe and the tv ads for ‘Lets Do London’, the UK”s largest ever domestic tourism ad campaign.
