Quite a well defined collabo, the “This World Remix” sees the dynamic artists melodically deliver a powerful message at a time “This World” needs it the most.
As the latest release from the World Scann Family, the “This World Remix” follow’s suit with the label’s mission to release “good, uplifting music, which teaches awareness.”
World Scann Family was founded by Scepta (aka Kirk C. Crawford) as a vehicle of controlling how and when meaningful music can be released to the masses. This track comes after the release “This World” by Mykal Rose, also from the World Scann Family label.
Major efforts from World Scann Family consist of a series of riveting releases from Scepta, including the “Appealing Thoughts” album, “Tell Yuh Bout Yaad” EP and singles “Tell Yuh Bout Yaad,” “Rudeboys” and “Nah Sell Out.” Notably, “Tell Yuh Bout Yaad” was a JCDC Jamaica Festival Finalist in 2015.

As someone who is family oriented, incorporating family into the label’s name and core values was a natural step for Scepta.

Mykal Rose is a Grammy award-winning artist formerly of the international group Black Uhuru. Known for hits like “Guess Who’s Coming To Dinner,” “Promised Land,” “Stalk Of Sensimenia” and many more, Mykal Rose is a Reggae music icon. Active since the 1970’s, Mykal Rose’s signature voice has helped shape the sound of Reggae music as we know it. The stalwart’s voice gets better with time.
Scepta is a Rastafarian Reggae artist based in New York, originally from Mandeville, Jamaica. The lyrical talent, who was formely known as Ziggy Rankin in the 90s, was also once owner and selector of Culture Roots International sound system. Gracing the stages of notable shows over the years, in tandem with releasing music, Scepta has remained steadfast in the Reggae music industry and the community, deejaying conscious cultural lyrics.
