Chinese artist Stinging Ray is coming with a new single to announce the official release of his first album by May 2023!
On “Upside Down” Stinging Ray is teaming up with the legendary drummer Sly Dunbar but also with Errol Flabba Holt and Robbie Lyn from Jamaican Reggae band Roots Radics.
Stinging Ray finds a flow more aggressive than usual and keeping lyrics always as hard-hitting, mixing English and Chinese brilliantly, he never ceases to impress, showing a new facet of his singing and a new palette of melody.
The riddim is also more modern than usual, and yet keeps the flavor of the 80’s, especially when Lamont “Monty” Savory ‘s guitar solo (Protoje’s guitarist) comes up bringing you vibes close to what you would get on a Peter Tosh tune.
