Richie Culture is a UK reggae artist raised in the heart of Moseley, Birmingham. He fell in love with reggae and hip-hop at a young age, but it was only when he started to attend ‘Jam Jah’ [a reggae dance] did he truly fall in love with the sound system culture. He started a sound along with his right hand Stevie, aka ‘Stitch’, called Young Culture Sound. They built their reputation by playing at a number of venues & festivals over the UK. Shortly after they would go on to put on memorable events, bringing popular reggae artists like Solo Banton, YT and Mungos Hifi to Birmingham.
Stevie has a great knowledge and ear and decided to make an array of positive, uplifting reggae music. Shortly after they both decided to make the band Young Culture Band, where Richie Culture started out on the drums, but his road would lead him to front the band as lead vocalist.
He writes uplifting songs and melody’s to keep the people joyful, working with a number of great producers, Richie Culture is committed to building unity within the vibration of reggae music. He is a vegetarian and believes in the Rasta way of life, everything natural.
