With his new single “Step Up”, the french beatmaker Manudigital announces his strong comeback and intensifies (“Step(s) Up”) his digital style by pushing always further the fusion of Reggae and Electro.
The track opens with a smooth Rocksteady on which the Jamaican veteran deejay Joseph Cotton toasts in the purest tradition of the genre, while suggesting what will be coming after: “Let’s get digital, digital!”. It follows a surprising drop with which Manudigital dives us in a UK ambiance between Drum and Bass and 2-Step cut for the sharp flow of the English MC Bellyman, specialist of the genre. Thanks to his skill and his phlegm, Manudigital is now master in his capacity to merge Reggae and Electro. Obviously, this is not his first try.
