After featuring Rastafarian recording artist Jah Lama on several of their early rhythm-driven compilations, Pandemic Records & Entertainment LLC inked a deal with the sing-jay last February. Ever since then, they’ve been working hard to make the Clarendonian a household name within Jamaica’s reggae-dancehall industry.
To that end, the team released Jah Lama‘s debut album, Fight the Fight, on December 15. The eight-track project, which features one collaboration – Burn Dem Down, done with Turbulence – is highly anticipated by Lama‘s growing fan base, most of whom have been privy to the already published singles: Pouring Rain, Progress, Fight, and Burn Dem Down.
There was a massive launch and stage-show on the night of the launch to commemorate the album’s release. It was held at Stafton Block Factory – located on Mullett Hall Road – in Chapleton, Clarendon, Jamaica. Jah Lama was joined with Bounty Killer, Sizzla, Turbulence, Little Hero, Prohgres, Ras Kronik, Vehnom, Frass Khalifa, and several other emerging and established performers.
