About half a year after Jon Moon’s last single “Just Like We” we’re happy to announce the next single of his upcoming EP: “You & Me” is a love song that truly lives up to this label, without ever being too corny. Opened by an orchestral intro, the song turns into a full and driving, yet cool and easy one-drop at the beginning of which Jon Moon gets to the heart of the message right away:
“When I open up my eyes, you’re the first thing I wanna see (…) There’s no other way babe, it’s just you and me!”
“You & Me” isn’t the first love song Jon Moon wrote for his partner Bronwyn, but it is arguably the most beautifully written. The artist describes his feelings poetically and emotionally while also setting new production standards for himself: After writing the song, he worked on the sound for almost three years, in order to get as close as possible to his vision.
He not only recorded real strings, but also got Giuseppe “Big Finga” Coppola (drums), Florian “Stahl” Münzer ( E-git.) and Fabian “Odi” Zepezauer (E-bass), three seasoned reggae musicians from Gentleman’s Evolution Band, on board. The production is rounded off by Ganjaman’s mastering. Thus you can expect a modern, but warm and full sound that duly embeds the lyrics, and a song that you won’t get out of your head anytime soon.
