“:Go Ahead” is the second release from the band Emaly. They aimed to take us into a more pure and minimalistic atmosphere in this 5-track EP. Just like in their first album, you can find a blend of rhythms here: Latin, reggae, Afro. The lyrics evoke the strength to bounce back, sensuality, and hope for the future despite time slipping through our fingers so quickly.
“Broken Heart” deals with ashattered love, where the protagonist seeks to find their bearings after aheart break that plunged them into chaos, much like the after math of a tsunami.
The track is a modern and digital Rub a dub that combines current synths with more organic guitar and Rhodes lines that complement Emaly‘s smooth voice.

EMALY
EMALY is a sunny duo based in Angers (49) France. It was in 2020 that they decided to launch their project. Immersed in music from an early age thanks to her father, it was only natural that the Franco-Mauritian decided to pursue this path. Jakub was seduced by her smooth voice.
World music, particularly from the Indian Ocean, is a great source of inspiration. What they compose is a distillation of their musical tastes, a fusion of music to which they add their own identity.
